The Miami Dolphins got a big win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa did not look very sharp.
In his first career start, Tagovailoa passed for just 93 yards and a touchdown with a completion percentage of 54.55.
Dolphins head coach Brian Flores admitted that he’ll look for improvement in the days ahead.
“Some good plays, some bad plays,” he said of Sunday’s performance. “A lot of things we can get fixed. First time out, some good, some bad. Hopefully we see some improvement next week.”
The Dolphins won Sunday’s contest over the Rams, 28-17. They did it primarily thanks to a furious defensive effort in the first half.
The Dolphins forced four total turnovers in the game and scored 21 points in the second quarter alone.
At 4-3, the Dolphins are starting to turn heads. Up next, they’ll face another tough task when they travel to take on the Arizona Cardinals.
Surely, Tagovailoa will have to put in a better performance if Miami wants to further improve its record on the season.
