The Tua Tagovailoa era will get underway this week when the Miami Dolphins take on the Los Angeles Rams, and the rookie quarterback might have one of his best receivers ready to go.
Ahead of Tagovailoa’s first start for the Dolphins, head coach Brian Flores provided an update on DeVante Parker’s status for Sunday’s game in Miami.
Parker’s status for the game against the Rams on Sunday has been in doubt all week long. He’s been battling a groin injury, which is always tricky, especially for a wide receiver.
Obviously, Parker being on the field for the Dolphins this weekend is great news for Tagovailoa. The 27-year-old wideout is having a decent season thus far for Miami with a total of 29 receptions for 364 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
All eyes will be on Tagovailoa on Sunday as he tries to avoid the constant pressure from arguably the best defensive player in the NFL in Aaron Donald, but having a weapon like Parker downfield will open things up for the rookie quarterback.
