Mike Gesicki breaks down why Ryan Fitzpatrick’s the ‘greatest teammate’ ever

The Miami Dolphins picked up an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday behind a monster performance from veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick completed 22 of his 28 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball three times for an additional 16 yards.

Following the win, Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki called Fitzpatrick the “greatest teammate” he’s ever had.

It is no secret that Fitzpatrick is loved in the Dolphins’ locker room. The veteran has led Miami to a 2-3 record so far this season, but the team has looked much more competitive than it did in 2019.

Fitzpatrick and Gesicki have a solid connection going, as they hooked up five times for 91 yards on Sunday.

With the New England Patriots sitting at 2-2 and the New York Jets in the basement at 0-4, the Dolphins could push for the second seed in the AFC East this season.

While rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is waiting in the wings, it doesn’t look like Fitzpatrick’s teammates are ready for Tagovailoa to displace the veteran any time soon.
