Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick may not have a great chance of making it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a player, but his jersey has made it to Canton, Ohio.
The reason the Harvard University grad’s jersey is there is his monster Week 3 performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In Miami’s 31-13 victory on Sept. 24, Fitzpatrick achieved several milestones.
He broke the Dolphins’ team record for the highest completion percentage in a game with 90 percent, which is super impressive when one considers that Dan Marino once played for the franchise.
Fitzpatrick also joined legendary running back Walter Payton as the only players since 1948 to register two or more passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, 25 rushing yards and a reception in the same game.
In Week 3, Fitzpatrick also became the first NFL player ever to achieve a win for six different teams against a single opponent.
