Report: Ryan Fitzpatrick Spending ‘More Time Than Usual’ Helping Tua Tagovailoa’s Development in Week 1

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been very focused on helping rookie Tua Tagovailoa progress this season.

Fitzpatrick recently explained a change he made this past Sunday compared to previous seasons in order to help keep Tagovailoa involved in the offense.

Fitzpatrick’s willingness to help Tagovailoa is huge for the rookie’s development.

Having a veteran like Fitzpatrick not only gives Tagovailoa someone to learn from but also emulate in the locker room and on the field.

While Fitzpatrick struggled mightily on Sunday, throwing three interceptions, Dolphins fans definitely can’t fault him for putting in the extra effort to help the future of the franchise.

Tagovailoa won’t start in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills, but one can wonder how long of a leash Dolphins head coach Brian Flores will give Fitzpatrick.

Regardless, it seems Tagovailoa will be getting advice from one of the better veteran leaders in football whether he sees the field or not.
