The Miami Dolphins surprised fans when they released quarterback Josh Rosen earlier this week.
Rosen didn’t remain a free agent for long. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Signing with the Bucs could end up being a major blessing for Rosen.
While he displayed a high level of talent during his college years and was a top-10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Rosen has struggled mightily in the NFL.
Now, he’ll get a chance to learn from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game, Bucs newcomer Tom Brady.
Rosen was acquired by the Dolphins last season. He played in six total games last year and finished the season with 58 completions for 567 yards, a single touchdown and five interceptions.
Rosen likely won’t see the field for quite some time given he’s signing to the team’s practice squad. Still, the lack of pressure he’ll face in Tampa Bay could be what he needs to get his NFL career back on track
