Report: Miami Dolphins Looking to Trade Quarterback Josh Rosen

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly fielding trade inquiries regarding quarterback Josh Rosen.

Miami acquired Rosen before last season in exchange for a second-round pick.

The University of California, Los Angeles product has struggled to find his footing in the NFL since being drafted in the first round in 2018.

Rosen, 23, appeared in six games for the Dolphins during the 2019 season, starting three.

He struggled mightily, throwing just one touchdown and five interceptions. The young quarterback completed just 53.2 percent of his passes and averaged under 100 passing yards per game.

The bright side for Dolphins fans is that Rosen’s potential exit signals that the team is comfortable with rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa being Ryan Fitzpatrick’s backup to start the season.

Tagovailoa was the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Miami clearly sees him as the future of the franchise. While Fitzpatrick will likely get the nod as the starter to begin this season, Tagovailoa will be waiting in the wings.

Should Miami trade Rosen, he will be playing on his third team in as many seasons.
