DeVante Parker Reveals Personal Goal for Upcoming Miami Dolphins Season

Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker’s only goal for the 2020 NFL season is to stay healthy over the course of the campaign.

During only one season of his five-year career has Parker been able to play in all 16 games during the regular season.

That came last year, when Parker had his best season with 72 receptions for 1,202 yards and nine touchdown catches. While such numbers weren’t worthy of a Pro Bowl selection, Parker was finally able to show the potential the Dolphins envisioned when they made him a first-round draft pick in 2015.

During Parker’s first four seasons with the Dolphins, a variety of injuries held him back and continued a frustrating pattern that first developed during his college days at the University of Louisville.

Last season, Parker teamed with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to produce his stellar numbers, with that pairing likely to continue at the start of the upcoming season.

However, Fitzpatrick is expected to eventually give way to the Dolphins’ quarterback of the future, Tua Tagovailoa, who the Dolphins selected with their top pick in April’s NFL draft.

How quickly those two players can establish chemistry remains to be seen, but if both players stay healthy, the Dolphins will be the beneficiaries.
