The Miami Dolphins signed free agent wide receiver Ricardo Louis on Saturday.
The Dolphins have been decimated at the wide receiver position due to players opting out of the 2020 season.
First, Allen Hurns decided that he wouldn’t be participating in the upcoming season. He was shortly followed by Albert Wilson, leaving an already thin receiving core in need of some reinforcements.
There are many other wideouts that Miami could target, but Louis is a good start.
The 26-year-old most recently played in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns during the 2017 season.
A former fourth-round pick, Louis has 45 career receptions for 562 yards. He also has returned nine kickoffs for 164 yards in his career.
The Dolphins will enter the season with DeVante Parker and Preston Williams as the likely starters at receiver, while Louis will compete with Jakeem Grant, Isaiah Ford, Gary Jennings and Mack Hollins for snaps.
