The Miami Dolphins have put their future in the hands of rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Based on what veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick says about Tagovailoa’s leadership potential, it appears that future is quite safe.
Fitzpatrick recently spoke about his young colleague and had nothing but positive things to say.
Ever since he became a star at the University of Alabama, Tagovailoa has been known as a high-character guy.
However, it will take more than high character for Tagovailoa to find success in the NFL.
While he certainly has all of the physical tools to become a star in the league, it is hard to ignore the injury concerns.
Tagovailoa just recently passed his physical and was deemed ready to practice without limitations. He has been recovering from a devastating hip injury he suffered during his final collegiate season.
It’s quite possible that the team’s coaching staff will take it slow with Tagovailoa. After all, Fitzpatrick is an experienced game manager and well-liked leader.
However, if Tagovailoa’s talent and leadership are simply too great to deny, he could find himself making his first career start in the NFL quite soon.
