Tua Tagovailoa Declares Himself Healthy Ahead of Training Camp: ‘I’m Ready to Go’

Miami Dolphins prized rookie Tua Tagovailoa is ready to get back onto the field.

While questions remain about when Tagovailoa will become the Dolphins’ starting quarterback, the University of Alabama standout wants fans to know that he won’t be held back by any injury concerns.

“I’d say I’m ready to go,” Tagovailoa told USA Today as Dolphins rookies and quarterbacks reported to the team’s facility for coronavirus testing.

“It’s kind of those things where you start getting the itch to get back out on the field, to be able to compete. It’s going to be a new setting, so that’s what’s even more exciting.”

Since being drafted by the Dolphins in the 2020 draft, all of the reports regarding Tagovailoa’s rehab from the injuries he sustained in his last collegiate season have been positive.

Still, it’s great to hear such a confident declaration from the young man himself.

While at Alabama, Tagovailoa became a total sensation. During his time there, he passed for 7,442 total yards and 87 total touchdowns.

While he will likely take some time to gain comfort in the NFL, there is no doubt that he has all the tools necessary to become a superstar in South Florida.

The next step towards that goal is to get on the practice field with his new teammates. From his own words, it seems like that finally taking place is just around the corner.
