Report: Logan Ryan Asking for $10 Million Per Year to Sign With Miami Dolphins

Free agent cornerback Logan Ryan reportedly is seeking $10 million per season to sign with the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have already upgraded their cornerback room this offseason by signing former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones to a five-year, $82.5 million contract.

Despite the fact that head coach Brian Flores believes that “you can never have enough cornerbacks,” Ryan’s asking price may be too high.

While the Dolphins still have over $23 million in cap space, they are still looking to upgrade more than just the secondary prior to the season.

The Dolphins have already invested heavily in Jones and cornerback Xavien Howard (five years, $76.5 million) and aren’t desperate at the position.

The division rival New York Jets, who are in need of a cornerback, are also in on Ryan, and may be more likely to pay him closer to his asking price.

Ryan’s connection to Flores from their days with the New England Patriots remains, but for now, the Dolphins’ interest will depend on the money.
