Miami Dolphins Officially Release Complete 2020 Regular Season Schedule

Even though the possibility of coronavirus-related scheduling changes may develop in the months ahead, the Miami Dolphins and other NFL teams absorbed the league’s release of the 2020 schedule on Thursday night.

There was no surprise surrounding the teams the Dolphins would play, considering they’ve been known since the conclusion of last season. However, filling in the scheduled dates required some additional waiting due to pandemic considerations.

Half of the Dolphins’ 2020 opponents are coming off winning seasons, with all but one of them (Los Angeles Rams) reaching the postseason.

The Dolphins will be the first team to get a look at the New England Patriots in the post-Brady era. That Sept. 13 opener will be followed by the home opener one week later against the Buffalo Bills

The Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will also visit on Dec. 13, one week after the Cincinnati Bengals and new quarterback Joe Burrow come to town.

The Dolphins were originally scheduled to host a game in London this season, plans that were tossed out because of the virus issues.

The last time the Los Angeles Rams played in Miami, they were based in St. Louis, but they’ll be here in Week 8 on Nov. 1.

On Christmas weekend (either Dec. 26 or 27), the Dolphins will visit the Las Vegas Raiders in their new home.

While the schedule release is always interesting, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is looking to see major improvement from his first season, when the team finished 5-11.
