Report: Several Games of Miami Dolphins 2020 Schedule Begin to Leak

While the Miami Dolphins full schedule will be announced by the NFL on Thursday night, an early leak shows that the team will be facing divisional foes in their first two contests.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reported on Thursday afternoon that the Dolphins’ opening game on Sept. 13 will be against the New England Patriots, though the location is uncertain.

“The Dolphins are opening with the New England Patriots,” Salguero wrote. “That is a certainty per a source. The problem? I have not confirmed if this game is at New England or at home.”

On Sept. 20, the Dolphins are scheduled to host the Buffalo Bills, then face their in-state rival Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, Sept. 24.

The latter contest will possibly mark the Dolphins’ lone national television appearance for the year, though another could be added.

The Bills will also be the opponents for the regular-season finale in Buffalo on Jan. 3. Given the often brutal weather in the latter part of the season, the conditions could be treacherous.

A planned game in London between the Dolphins and either the Kansas City Chiefs or Seattle Seahawks has been shifted back to Miami. That change was the direct result of the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

The opponents for the Dolphins have been known since the conclusion of the 2019 regular season, but Thursday night’s announcement will offer the actual scheduled dates for the contests.
