Report: Joe Burrow Would Be ‘Happy’ to Play in Miami If Dolphins Can Complete Trade for No. 1 Pick

The Miami Dolphins currently lay claim to the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they might be looking to move up further.

The prize of the draft is Louisiana State University quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow.

If the Dolphins were somehow able to trade up to the first pick to land Burrow, the quarterback would reportedly be happy to play in South Florida.

“The Dolphins like Burrow a lot, according to sources. Plus, Burrow would be happy to play in Miami if it works out that way, another source said,” ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe wrote.

The report could be somewhat significant because there have been rumblings about Burrow’s reluctance to play with the Cincinnati Bengals.

There’s no doubt why a young and promising quarterback would want to play in South Florida. Not only is the weather and culture fantastic, but the Dolphins themselves also offer quite a lot to be excited about.

After a weak start to the 2019 NFL season, the Dolphins finished out strong. They won five of their last nine games last season.

With that being said, it seems quite unlikely that the Bengals would be willing to part ways with their pick.

Until anything changes on that front, Burrow’s interest in possibly playing in Miami is likely irrelevant.
