Miami Dolphins News: Status of Two Offensive Stars in Doubt for Week 7

As the Miami Dolphins prepare for a crucial game against the division rival New York Jets, two offensive stars have yet to take the field in practice this week.

On Friday, wide receiver DeVante Parker did not participate for the third practice in a row and is currently listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. Starting center Mike Pouncey also sat out all week after sustaining a hip injury and being put in concussion protocol in the game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Several other stars found themselves on this week’s injury report, including running back Jay Ajayi, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, and cornerback Byron Maxwell. All were full participants in Friday’s practice, however, and are expected to play on Sunday.

If Pouncey and Parker are unable to suit up for the Dolphins’ matchup against the Jets, center Jake Brendel will fill in on the offensive line and wide receiver Kenny Stills will likely assume Parker’s role opposite Jarvis Landry.

The Dolphins will hope to ride the momentum of their current two-game winning streak and overcome the injuries to move to 4-2 on the season.
