Miami Dolphins linebacker Lawrence Timmons made news over the weekend when he left the team unannounced and was only found after the team filed a missing persons report with Los Angeles Police. While Timmons was back with the team by Sunday and has reportedly stated that he wants to return to the field as soon as possible, the Dolphins announced that they have decided to suspend Timmons indefinitely.
On Tuesday, the team took to Twitter to make fans aware of their decision.
Timmons’ talents would certainly be an asset on the defensive side as the team prepares to face off against the New York Jets this weekend, but it’s clear that head coach Adam Gase and the team’s front office has made discipline a priority following the worrisome and distracting incident.
