The Miami Dolphins got a positive update on tight end Adam Shaheen as he recovers from multiple injuries.
Shaheen reportedly could be ready for the team’s regular-season opener against the New England Patriots. If not, he is expected back by Week 2 of the season.
Update: There is now optimism Adam Shaheen could be ready for regular-season opener and certainly by Week 2, barring a setback. https://t.co/ZWkwChpE8J

Shaheen, 26, had a solid season for the Dolphins last year behind starting tight end Mike Gesicki.
Shaheen recorded 12 catches for 150 yards and three touchdowns during the 2020 season.
The Dolphins are clearly hoping that Shaheen will be ready at some point early in the regular season to fill a similar role in the offense.
Miami is looking to improve on last season’s 10-6 record and make the playoffs in the 2021 campaign.
