Jaelan Phillips’ clear 3-word message on facing Terron Armstead in Miami Dolphins practice
- Updated: April 27, 2022
The Miami Dolphins have made some major splashes this offseason, with one of them being a deal for veteran tackle Terron Armstead.
It sounds like Armstead has already left an impression on at least one Dolphins player. Miami youngster Jaelan Phillips recently spoke about what it’s like facing Armstead in practice.
"Iron sharpens iron," said Jaelan Phillips of getting to go against Terron Armstead in practice.

Armstead figures to make a big impact for the Dolphins in the upcoming season. Miami’s offensive line has plenty of room for improvement, and the hope is that the 30-year-old will help the unit take a big step forward.
Armstead is a three-time Pro Bowler. He was named to the event for three straight seasons before his streak ended in the 2021 campaign.
The Dolphins have high hopes for the 2022 season. Newcomer Mike McDaniel is looking to make some serious noise in his first season as the organization’s head coach.
Given the number of key additions the Dolphins have made to their roster this offseason, many fans are expecting the team to secure a playoff bid in the 2022 campaign. If that were to happen, it would mark the franchise’s first trip to the playoffs since the 2016 campaign.
Unbelievably, the Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game since the 2000 season, and fans are itching for that to change.
Of course, the success of the team’s 2022 season may hinge on the play of Tua Tagovailoa, who is entering his third year in the NFL. The youngster has shown exciting flashes at times, but the Dolphins are looking for him to put it all together over the course of a full season.
