The Miami Dolphins got Jaylen Wright back on the practice field Thursday as Kadyn Proctor completed another full session ahead of their matchup with the Detroit Lions.

Wright improved from no participation Wednesday to limited work Thursday with a quadriceps injury, according to Miami’s official injury report. Proctor, listed with a concussion, was a full participant for the second straight day.

The backfield still has two players managing quadriceps injuries, with Kaytron Allen remaining limited. Wright’s return gives Miami more participation at the position, but neither player’s Sunday availability was settled by Thursday’s report.

Kadyn Proctor practices fully after missing Patriots game

Proctor’s consecutive full practices represent a change from last week, when the Dolphins ruled him out against the New England Patriots and prepared Jarrett Kingston to replace him at left guard.

Head coach Jeff Hafley said during his Wednesday press conference that Proctor was still working through concussion protocol.

“He is in the protocol, but he will practice today. So he is progressing in the protocol,” Hafley said.

Thursday’s participation listing does not announce that Proctor has cleared the protocol. The distinction matters for Miami’s offensive line: Practicing fully is an encouraging step, while a confirmed return would resolve whether the Dolphins can restore him to the lineup.

Quarterback Malik Willis, listed with a groin injury, also remained a full participant. On defense, Chop Robinson was limited with a knee injury and Zach Sieler was limited with a shoulder injury.

Lions have injury questions on both sides of the ball

Detroit again practiced without linebacker Jack Campbell, center Cade Mays, cornerback D.J. Reed and edge defender DJ Wonnum.

Amon-Ra St. Brown remained limited with a rib injury, while Brian Branch improved from limited to full participation.

Hafley emphasized Wednesday that Detroit can challenge a defense in several ways, pointing to its running game, receiving options and physical approach.

He said Miami’s responses would have to account for down, distance and field position rather than concentrating on one threat.

That makes the Lions’ remaining availability decisions relevant to both sides of Miami’s preparation. Reed and Branch affect the potential secondary Willis will face, while St. Brown’s status bears watching for the Dolphins’ defense.

Thursday’s report provides practice information, not final rulings on who will play.
