Stephen Ross presents site plans for luxury complex at location of Deauville Beach Resort

Though South Florida residents may know Stephen Ross best due to the fact that he is the proud owner of the Miami Dolphins, the billionaire businessman has many other professional ventures as well.

Perhaps most notably, Ross has been a real estate investor for many years, and it is one of the reasons why he has been able to amass a fortune that is estimated to be worth approximately $8.2 billion.

Recently, Ross presented the site plans for a new luxury complex at the site that once held the historic Deauville Beach Resort.

The Deauville was built in 1957 and gained worldwide recognition when The Beatles performed there on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in February of 1964.

Ross has plans for the new development to feature two towers and a landscaped area in between the towers.

Frank Gehry is one of the most famous architects in the United States, and he has left his fingerprints on cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. Now, it appears that his modernist take on building design will also grace the Miami skyline.

So, while the Dolphins work hard to get over the hump and advance into the playoffs in the coming season, it appears that Ross is keeping busy with business ventures unrelated to the team.

Ross became the Dolphins’ majority owner in 2009, and since then, the Dolphins have only made it to the postseason one time, with that appearance coming in the 2016 season.

All in all, it seems like it’s a very busy summer in South Florida.
