Tyreek Hill reacts to being told that Miami Heat ‘need’ him

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is out for the season due to an injury, so he has plenty of time to be on social media and interact with fans.

On Monday morning, Hill responded to a fan that said that the Miami Heat need the speedy receiver on their roster.

The eight-time Pro Bowler responded by joking that he’d want to play center if he were to transition to basketball.

It’s nice to see Hill having fun with Miami fans even though his 2025 season was cut short due to a gruesome leg injury.

Hill went down in Week 4 against the New York Jets and was placed on injured reserve due to his injury. Prior to getting Hurt, Hill had caught 21 of his 29 targets in the 2025 season for 265 yards and one touchdown. Miami was just 1-3 in the four games that he played in this season.

The Dolphins are now eliminated from playoff contention in the AFC, and they appear to be undergoing a major transformation on offense after former first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa was benched ahead of the team’s Week 16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

It’s possible that Hill’s time in Miami is coming to an end as well, as the team may be entering a rebuild, and it could save a ton of money if it moves on from the veteran receiver.

Hill, 31, has put together some of the best seasons of his career in Miami, especially the 2023 campaign. The speedy wideout caught 119 passes in that season and led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799), receiving touchdowns (13) and first downs (83). He finished sixth in voting for the NFL’s MVP award that season.

A smaller receiver – Hill is listed at 5-foot-10 – it would be pretty funny to see the Dolphins star on an NBA floor, particularly in the frontcourt.

The Heat got off to a fast start in the 2025-26 season, but they have dropped eight of their last 10 games, sending them down in the Eastern Conference standings. Heat fans seem to be wondering how the team can get back on track, so putting out a feeler to Hill is at least worth a shot – even as a joke.

Hill will watch the Dolphins close out their regular season over the next two weeks with matchups against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
