Report: Tyreek Hill expected to be ready for training camp despite wearing cast on left wrist

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill dealt with a wrist injury during the 2024 NFL season, and he recently shared a video of himself with what appears to be a cast on his wrist area.

Despite this, Hill reportedly should be ready for training camp ahead of the 2025 season.

“As for Hill, who was seen wearing a cast over his left wrist on a social media video, agent Drew Rosenhaus declined to disclose on his weekly WSVN-7 segment if Hill has surgery, and the Dolphins do not confirm offseason surgical procedures,” the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson wrote. “But Rosenhaus said: ‘I don’t see any reason why Tyreek won’t be ready for training camp.’”

This is great news for the Dolphins, as Hill has been a massive part of their offense since he was acquired in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to the 2022 season.

In his first two seasons in Miami, Hill had over 1,700 receiving yards in each of them. He also caught an NFL-high 13 touchdowns in the 2023 season. In both the 2022 and 2023 season, Hill was named a Pro Bowler and he finished in the top 10 in the league in MVP voting.

However, the 2024 season was one to forget for the star wideout.

Hill struggled with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing several games, finishing the campaign with less than 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since the 2019 season.

Overall, Hill caught 81 passes – his fewest since the 2019 season when he appeared in just 12 games – for 959 yards and six scores. He also finished with an average of just 56.4 receiving yards per game, his lowest since his rookie season.

Part of the struggles weren’t Hill’s fault, as Miami played Skylar Thompson, Tyler Huntley and Tim Boyle at quarterback in the games that Tagovailoa missed. All of those players are a huge downgrade from the former No. 5 overall pick.

Hopefully, Hill and the Dolphins will be able to bounce back in the 2025 season, especially since they finished under .500 and failed to make the playoffs in the 2024 campaign.

While it’s unclear exactly what Hill needed done in order to remedy the issue with his wrist, it doesn’t appear to be something that will require a long-term recovery. As long as he’s in Miami, he’ll likely remain the focal part of the passing game in the 2025 season.
