Donald Trump will be the 47th president of the United States after he defeated Kamala Harris in the country’s presidential election. Trump, a Republican, will soon spend another four years leading the country after he was president from January 2017 up until January 2021.
The magic number of electoral votes needed to secure the presidency is 270, and as of Wednesday, Trump has 295 to his name compared to Harris’ 226.
Miami Dolphins long snapper Blake Ferguson celebrated Trump’s victory with multiple posts on X.

Let this be a lesson. Walk in boldness. Speak up for whatโs right.
People will try to tear you down, but itโs worth it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Ferguson has taken aim at the current president โ Joe Biden โ on a number of occasions throughout his term. He openly questioned his COVID-19 policies back in 2022 and asked the president why folks were still wearing masks on airplanes.
Yo @JoeBiden why are we still wearing masks on airplanes? I just sat at the airport bar for lunch next to a person maskless. Virus must know the difference yeah?

He also clapped back at the president earlier this year after Biden implied that airlines should have fee-free family seating. Ferguson didn’t express disagreement with Biden though. Rather, he suggested that the 81-year-old had more pressing issues to attend to.
Ferguson has spent the entirety of his NFL career so far playing for the Dolphins.
He has played in just five of Miami’s eight games to this point in the 2024 regular season and was placed on the team’s reserve/non-football illness list in October due to personal reasons. The earliest he can make a return to the field for the Dolphins will be in their Week 11 bout against the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 17.
Ferguson hasn’t suited up for the Dolphins since the team’s win over the New England Patriots one month ago on Oct. 6. Miami also hasn’t picked up a victory since then, as the team is riding a three-game losing streak and lost its most recent game to the Buffalo Bills by three points on Nov. 3.
Hopefully, by the time Ferguson plays for Miami once again, the team will be on the heels of a victory. The Dolphins’ next regular-season contest will come against the 4-4 Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 11. The Rams might be better than their record suggests however, as they are winners of their last three games and have a really quality quarterback, Matthew Stafford, leading their offense.
