Tyreek Hill makes promise to Miami Dolphins fans amid frustrating start to 2024 season

Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins’ 2024 season has gone far from swimmingly to this point.

Tua Tagovailoa is on injured reserve due to a concussion and will be sidelined for at least the next few weeks. Hill and the Dolphins have struggled without him, and the team now owns a 1-2 record after an embarrassing loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

But in light of everything that’s gone wrong, Hill made a post on Instagram suggesting that things will soon make a turn for the better.

With Skylar Thompson (and ultimately Tim Boyle) getting playing time at the quarterback spot in Week 3 against the Seahawks, Hill wasn’t his usual productive self from a receiving perspective. He totaled only 40 receiving yards on three receptions. For comparison, he averaged a league-high 112.4 receiving yards per game last season.

Hill has played in all three of the Dolphins’ games so far this season. He has totaled 194 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and eight first downs receiving.

Most of Hill’s 194 receiving yards came in the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as he accumulated 130 along with a receiving touchdown in Miami’s lone win of the season as of this writing.

In Week 2, he had three catches for just 24 yards. Tagovailoa started that game before getting injured and being replaced by Thompson.

Hill may be right in claiming that the Dolphins’ luck will turn around, as Miami’s next two games before its bye week will come against a pair of subpar teams in the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots.

First, the Dolphins will take on the Titans on Sept. 30, and Tennessee has been one of the worst teams in the league this season. The Titans have yet to pick up a win and lost to the Green Bay Packers by 16 points in their most recent game.

The Patriots haven’t fared much better, as the team owns a 1-2 record on the season. The Dolphins will certainly look to take advantage on Oct. 6.
