Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has yet to practice with the team this week due to an undisclosed injury, and the 31-year-old replied to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that seemingly called his injury into question.
Fuller appeared in just two games with the Dolphins during the 2021 regular season after inking a one-year deal with Miami worth an excess of $10 million. He suffered a broken finger in a matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts and was then subsequently put on injured reserve. In his short stint with the team, he racked up 26 yards receiving along with three first downs receiving.
According to Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, the team seemingly doesn’t want to rush Beckham back on the field, even with the start of the 2024 regular season less than a month away.
Beckham agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins a few months back after serving as a productive offensive weapon for the Baltimore Ravens during the 2023 regular season. He played in all but three of the team’s 17 contests and finished with 565 yards receiving and three touchdowns. The former New York Giants star also averaged a respectable 40.4 receiving yards per contest during his lone season in Baltimore.
When he is healthy enough to play for the Dolphins, the former Louisiana State University standout will join a receiver corps that’s among the very best in the NFL today. Tyreek Hill stands out as Miami’s best receiver as well as arguably the best player at his position in the sport. After all, Hill ended the 2023 regular season with a whopping 1,799 yards receiving, which ranks as the most by any player in a single season in the history of the franchise.
Jaylen Waddle — who was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft — is another one of the Dolphins’ best receivers. In just his third season in the pros, he totaled 1,014 yards receiving, four touchdowns receiving, 47 first downs receiving while averaging 72.4 yards receiving per game.
