Miami Dolphins star wideout Tyreek Hill made a hilarious joke towards his former teammate – Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman – on social media.
Hill and Hardman were teammates together in Kansas City from the 2019 season through the 2021 season before Hill was traded to the Dolphins. They won a Super Bowl together, and it appears the two have a good relationship since Hill is so comfortable taking shots at Hardman on social media.
While Hill has missed out on Kansas City’s back-to-back Super Bowl titles, Hardman played an integral part in the Chiefs’ success the past two seasons – especially in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2023 season.
After beginning the campaign with the New York Jets, Hardman returned to the Chiefs after they sent a 2025 sixth-round draft pick to the Jets for Hardman and a 2025 seventh-round pick.
The move proved to be a great one, as Hardman was the hero in the Super Bowl, catching the game-winning touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes in overtime.
The veteran receiver recently agreed to a one-year deal to remain with the team for the 2024 season.
While Hill has had to watch his old team thrive without him, the star wideout has put up some massive stats with Miami.
He’s had a ton of success playing with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, putting up 1,710 receiving yards in the 2022 season and an NFL-best 1,799 receiving yards last season. Not only that, but the eight-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in receiving touchdowns in the 2023 campaign with 13.
Both known for their speed, Hardman and Hill were a tough duo to defend during their time in Kansas City, both earning nods to the Pro Bowl in the 2019 season.
Kansas City took Hardman in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, seemingly viewing him as a player that had a chance to be as successful as Hill in head coach Andy Reid’s offense.
While Hardman hasn’t reached the level of production that Hill has in his NFL career, he’s now a three-time Super Bowl champ that has become a trusted target for Mahomes.
Hardman has not responded to Hill’s dig yet on social media, and the two players unfortunately won’t match up during the 2024 regular season. However, it’s possible that they square off in the playoffs.
