Jalen Ramsey sends warning to rest of league after Raiders sign Christian Wilkins

Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey reacted on X to the news that his former teammate — Christian Wilkins — will join the Las Vegas Raiders on a four-year deal worth at least $110 million.

Ramsey is seemingly excited that Wilkins is now on the same team as star defensive player Maxx Crosby, who has led the NFL in tackles for loss two seasons in a row now.

Crosby has earned Pro Bowl nods in each of his last three seasons with the Raiders and finished with 90 combined tackles, 55 solo tackles, 35 assisted tackles, 31 quarterback hits and 23 tackles for loss in 17 appearances in the 2023 regular season.

Ramsey, meanwhile, played alongside Wilkins on the defensive side of the ball for the Dolphins during the 2023 regular season. He played in just 10 of Miami’s 17 games and totaled three interceptions, 22 combined tackles, 18 solo tackles and five passes defended.

Despite sitting out much of Miami’s regular season, Ramsey did participate in the Dolphins’ playoff game versus the Kansas City Chiefs and finished with five combined tackles, four solo tackles, one assisted tackle and one tackle for loss.

While Ramsey had a productive game versus the Chiefs, the Dolphins still lost 26-7 in what was one of the team’s worst performances of the season.

Before agreeing to a lucrative deal with the Raiders, Wilkins was a member of the Dolphins for the first five seasons of his NFL career and one of the better defensive players on the team in the 2023 regular season.

Unlike Ramsey, though, Wilkins was consistently on the field for the Dolphins, as he played in every single one of the team’s 17 regular-season games and accumulated 38 solo tackles, 27 assists on tackles, 65 combined tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 23 quarterback hits.

While the Dolphins have now lost a great defensive player to the Raiders, Dolphins fans are surely happy that Wilkins received a huge contract from Las Vegas. He and Crosby should make for one of the league’s most entertaining duos on the defensive side of the ball.
