Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is being sued by a woman who is claiming that he broke her leg when he charged at her with “crushing force” during a backyard football drill, according to the Daily Mail.

Sophie Hall, 35, claims that she held her own against Hill while doing football drills at his Florida mansion. Hill allegedly knocked Hall to the ground after feeling “humiliated,” causing her to break her leg which required reconstructive surgery and months of physio.

These are certainly troubling allegations against Hill as the eight-time Pro Bowler has been investigated for assault and battery before.

Back in his collegiate days, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation. He was also investigated in 2019 for alleged battery of his then-3-year-old son, but charges ended up not being filed against the eight-time Pro Bowler.

Hall is suing the Miami receiver for battery, assault and negligence.

“Tyreek Hill, a National Football League superstar, perennial Pro Bowler, First Team All-Pro and world class athlete nicknamed the ‘Cheetah’ for his incredible combination of strength and speed, makes his living humiliating and outperforming his competition on the football field,” Hall’s complaint states.

“Unfortunately, after getting ‘humiliated’ in front of friends and family when he was knocked backwards during a friendly football lesson by his friend Sophie Hall, Tyreek became enraged and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg.”

According to the complaint, Hill invited Hall to take part in drills with him that included asking Hall to rush at him as if she were a defensive player chasing a quarterback.

“Ms. Hall did as instructed and on contact with the defendant, caused Hill to be pushed backwards, garnering laughter from the witnesses present at the time, including the defendant’s mother, sister, friend and trainer,” the complaint continued.

Hill allegedly switched positions with Hall, charging at her on four separate occasions as if he was rushing a quarterback. It was on the fourth instance in which Hall’s injuries occurred.

“Defendant Hill charged into her violently and with great force, resulting in significant and serious injuries,” the suit alleges.

“The crushing force was so great that she sustained a right leg fracture, necessitating surgery with metal hardware implantation.”

Hall’s complaint also shares that Hill offered her ice and bed to lay down in after the incident. Hall claims that the Dolphins star “downplayed” the injury.

It’s an unfortunate situation for Hill to be involved in, and it’s unclear if he would face discipline from the NFL if the allegations against him are true.

The Dolphins certainly hope that Hill will be cleared of any wrongdoing and able to play in the 2024 season. The star wideout is one of the NFL’s best playmakers and is coming off a season where he caught 119 passes for an NFL-best 1,799 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns. That led to Hill finishing sixth in the NFL MVP voting in the 2023 season.
