Tyreek Hill after Colin Cowherd goes at Miami Dolphins fans: ‘What sport has this thug played again’

Although the Miami Dolphins picked up a big win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16, sports analyst Colin Cowherd isn’t doing any backflips to congratulate them.

He spoke about the squad recently, and while he acknowledged that Miami’s win over Dallas was a solid one, he wasn’t willing to go much further.

When Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill caught wind of Cowherd’s comments, he didn’t hold back.

The Dolphins’ win over the Cowboys was significant in the eyes of many because it marked Miami’s first victory of the season over a team with a winning record.

Hill’s squad is 11-4 following the win and has a solid lead in the AFC East over the Buffalo Bills, who are 9-6. The Dolphins have already clinched a playoff bid and are now fighting for seeding with two games to go in the regular season.

Cowherd’s reference to Miami’s lack of recent playoff success is harsh but accurate. The 2000 season was the last time the Dolphins won a playoff game, and they were only able to manage a single victory before being eliminated.

Since the end of that season, the organization has made four trips to the playoffs and gone 0-4.

The hope in Miami is that this season will be different. The win over the Cowboys was a nice momentum builder, but the Dolphins are about to be tested in Weeks 17 and 18 with matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Bills.

If the Dolphins want Cowherd to switch up his perceptive, they simply need to take care of business on the field. A strong end to the regular season wouldn’t hurt, but playoff success is the ultimate goal for the squad, and time will tell if that’s in the cards.

Cowherd — an often outspoken sports personality — may choose to respond to Hill’s comments, but whether or not that happens, the Dolphins receiver can simply use the situation as motivation going forward.

As Hill tries to help the Dolphins to the promised land, he’s also chasing history himself, as he’s got 1,641 receiving yards on the season and still has a chance to reach 2,000.
