The Miami Dolphins announced a few roster moves involving their offensive line on Wednesday. The Dolphins signed Jonotthan Harrison to the active roster and Matt Skura to the practice squad.
They also placed Connor Williams on injured reserve.
Williams, who starts at center for the Dolphins, suffered a torn ACL in the first quarter of Miami’s 28-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season as a result of the injury.
The University of Texas product played the first four years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys after they selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed a two-year deal with the Dolphins in March of 2022, and he has started in all 26 games that he’s appeared in for Miami.
The loss to Tennessee was just the fourth of the season for the Dolphins, who still sit atop the AFC East with a 9-4 record. In addition to losing to the Titans, Miami has also dropped games to the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite the loss to the Titans, the Dolphins still appear poised for a playoff appearance as they hold a two-game lead over Buffalo in the division. However, they need to take care of business down the stretch of the season in order to solidify their spot. Unfortunately, their schedule isn’t especially easy.
Miami has four regular season games remaining. Those games come against the New York Jets, Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and Bills. All of those teams except the Jets are still firmly in the playoff picture and should have something to play for as a result.
The good news for the Dolphins is that three of their final four games will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The contest against Baltimore is the only road game remaining on Miami’s schedule.
The Dolphins are an impressive 5-1 at home so far this season, so they’ll be looking to continue their winning ways in front of their home fans over the final month of the regular season.
