Tyreek Hill says he’s paying salary of cameraman who was suspended by NFL for taking part in TD celebration

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed that he’s paying the salary of the cameraman who was suspended by the NFL for his part in Hill’s celebration after a touchdown this season.

It’s great to see Hill helping out the cameraman, Kevin Fitzgibbons, especially since the two have a good relationship outside of the lone celebration video.

The celebration happened after Hill scored a touchdown in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers. The Dolphins star finished that game with an impressive stat line, making six receptions for 163 yards and a score.

Fitzgibbons recently shared his story on social media, explaining how the celebration led to him being suspended by the NFL.

“The NFL then let me know that I would be suspended for the remainder of the season and possibly for good,” Fitzgibbons said.

“They said regardless if I knew the celebration was coming or not, I still had to be disciplined and that I shouldn’t have jumped on the sidelines after the play. One of the best moments of my life turned upside down in a matter of seconds. I get why the NFL had to make this decision and wish I could’ve done something to prevent it, but I’m thankful for the memory that Tyreek gave me.

“This was the greatest job in the world, and I never took a day for granted. I can’t thank the NFL enough for the opportunity. Whether it’s back with the NFL or starting a new sport, I just hope to get another chance at doing what I love.”

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James spoke out against the NFL’s decision to suspend Fitzgibbons, saying “s— ain’t that serious.”

It’s unfortunate that Fitzgibbons is in the situation he’s in, but it’s great to see Hill helping him out financially. With many people on social media coming to Fitzgibbons’ defense, one has to imagine the NFL might let him return to the sidelines as a cameraman in the future.

Hill is having a massive season for the Dolphins, who are in contention for a top spot in the AFC. The seven-time Pro Bowler has already made 88 receptions for 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The former fifth-round pick leads the NFL in receiving yards and receiving scores this season. He also has recorded seven games with over 100 receiving yards. The star wideout has a real chance to reach his stated goal of 2,000 receiving yards in a single season for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins and Hill take on the Washington Commanders in Week 13. It could be a matchup where Hill posts some big numbers, as Washington has allowed the most points in the NFL this season.
