Taylor Swift’s Swifties go after Bradley Chubb after he dismisses them ahead of Miami Dolphins-Kansas City Chiefs game

The Miami Dolphins face arguably their toughest test of the season on Sunday when they take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Germany. But pass rusher Bradley Chubb is learning there might be an even more formidable opposition to deal with: the legion of Taylor Swift fans known as Swifties.

After brushing them off in comments to the media on Thursday, the Swifties took to social media to let Chubb know exactly how they feel about his attitude toward them and returned it in kind.

Swift’s romance with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has arguably been the most reported story of the NFL season so far. Her appearances at games, his statistics when she is there watching and the effect it is having on the Chiefs as a whole have all been generating analysis and drawing previously uninterested fans to the NFL universe.

Unlike Dolphins teammate Tyreek Hill, who was careful not to antagonize the fans of the pop superstar, Chubb decided to basically dismiss the Swifties, which may be the worst thing you can do to them.

For those Swifties and others who are unfamiliar, Chubb is playing his first full season with the Dolphins after he was traded to them by the Denver Broncos during last season. The 27-year-old has 33.5 sacks in 65 games over five-plus NFL seasons with those two teams.

His ability to get to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Sunday could go a long way in determining the outcome in a matchup of two of the top clubs in the NFL. Both teams are 6-2 with Miami in first place in the AFC East and Kansas City atop the AFC West.

The Dolphins defense got a boost last week with the return of star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and the unit will have to find a way to slow down Kelce, who is well on his way to another 1,000-yard season.

It is unknown if Swift will be in attendance, but there undoubtedly will be some of her fans on hand to support her boyfriend and maybe voice some displeasure toward Chubb for having the audacity to say he doesn’t care what they think.
