Miami Dolphins stars Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill reacted following the team’s blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4 of the NFL season.
Miami entered the game against Buffalo with a 3-0 record, but the Dolphins struggled on defense, giving up 48 points in a 48-20 loss.
Hill posted a message on social media following the loss, and he shared that the team will be better going forward.
The Bills were able to keep Hill in check on Sunday, limiting him to just three catches for 58 yards on five targets. The star wideout also carried the ball one time for 14 yards in the loss.
Miami fell behind early in Week 4, trailing 31-14 at the half. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs connected for three touchdowns against the Dolphins’ defense, which certainly made it tough for Tagovailoa and company to keep up.
Still, Tagovailoa didn’t seem too worried about the loss, pointing that they’ll see the Bills again in this season.
Miami’s second matchup with Buffalo will come on Jan. 7 in Miami. That is the last game of the Dolphins’ regular season, and it could end up deciding the winner of the AFC East division if both teams stay close throughout the season.
Tagovailoa offered a positive message to reassure Dolphins fans as the 2023 season goes on.
The former No. 5 overall pick did not have his best game on Sunday, completing 25 of his 35 pass attempts for 282 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
His touchdown was an 11-yard strike to wide receiver Braxton Berrios. The Dolphins wideout finished with a team-high six catches on Sunday.
While the loss certainly hurts for the Dolphins, they have plenty of time to overtake the Bills in the AFC East division this season. Both teams are now 3-1, and the Bills have a division loss to the New York Jets already under their belts.
Tagovailoa and Hill both appear to be taking the Week 4 loss as a learning experience, and it could help the team fix some mistakes in the future.
The Dolphins will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season in Week 5 when they take on the New York Giants on Oct. 8.
