Report: Miami Dolphins announce 9 practice squad signings

The Miami Dolphins are starting to fill up their practice squad. The Dolphins announced on Wednesday that they have signed eight players to their practice squad — cornerback Ethan Bonner, defensive end Randy Charlton, tight end Tanner Conner, linebacker Cameron Goode, defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand, linebacker Alexander Johnson, wide receiver Braylon Sanders and offensive lineman Alama Uluave.

Former New England Patriots offensive lineman Chasen Hines is also joining Miami’s practice squad.

Bonner signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent back in May. He spent four seasons playing college football at Stanford University and racked up 20 solo tackles in his senior season, the 2022 season.

Conner already has some experience playing with the Dolphins. He appeared in 13 games with the team during the 2022 regular season. The tight end joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent back in May of 2022.

Charlton played five seasons of college football and spent his last two seasons as a member of Mississippi State University. He finished with 17 solo tackles and one forced fumble in the 2022 season, his final season of college football.

Goode spent five seasons playing college football at the University of California, Berkeley. He was selected by the Dolphins with the No. 224 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Hand has played for two teams — the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans — across his five seasons in the NFL. He started eight games for the Lions as a rookie during the 2018 regular season.

Johnson has played five seasons in the NFL and four as a member of the Denver Broncos. He started 16 games for the Broncos back in the 2020 regular season.

Sanders appeared in three games with the Dolphins during the 2022 regular season, his rookie season. He caught two passes with the team, with his longest reception being for 13 yards.

Uluave spent five seasons playing college football at San Diego State University. He played in 13 games for the team during the 2022 season, his final season of college football.

Here’s to hoping that at least some of these players recently signed to the practice squad will get playing time with the Dolphins during the 2023 regular season.
