Report: Tua Tagovailoa files for trademarks, indicating plans to launch branded lines of clothing and sportswear

It’s been a long few months for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but he’s still finding ways to be productive.

The 25-year-old has reportedly filed two new trademark applications, indicating that he plans to launch some exciting branded products in the future.

While Tagovailoa is already becoming a very recognizable name on the field, his stock may start to rise even more if he can market himself successfully off of it.

Dolphins fans will certainly keep an eye on Tagovailoa’s off-the-field business ventures and support him when possible.

The former first-round pick seems to have a lot on his plate right now. In addition to his new trademarks, he’s undoubtedly focused on getting healthy and staying that way ahead of the 2023 NFL season.

After suffering two confirmed concussions this past season, Tagovailoa is looking to avoid any additional head injuries moving forward. There’s reportedly some concern within the Dolphins organization about the signal-caller’s health. Plenty of fans surely feel the same way.

Head injuries can be so serious that Tagovailoa’s football career is really secondary to his long-term health. For that reason, many folks want him to be extremely cautious when it comes to the way he proceeds with his time in the NFL.

The 2022 season was the Hawaii native’s third at the NFL level, and injuries aside, it was easily his best. He led the NFL in quarterback rating (among other categories) and guided the Dolphins to an 8-5 record in his starts.

In 13 games, he completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The University of Alabama product helped the Dolphins earn their first playoff bid in years, and he even received an MVP vote when all was said and done.

This coming season, he’ll look to replicate his production from the 2022 campaign and stay healthy in the process. The Dolphins seem to have a very high ceiling in the AFC, but their success is obviously going to hinge on Tagovailoa’s health and availability.

The young passer is already a fan favorite in Miami, and folks in South Florida would love nothing more than to see him guide the team to the promised land.
