Miami Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker had a ton of praise for his teammates Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa for their play in the 2022 season.

Hill, who was in his first season in Miami in the 2022 season, helped elevate the team’s offense, forming an elite duo with Jaylen Waddle on the outside.

Hill finished the 2022 season with 119 catches for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns. Hill averaged over 100 yards per game even though the team had to play three different quarterbacks in the 2022 season.

Baker explained how Hill can make an impact no matter who is throwing him the ball. He also explained that nobody can line up with him one on one.

“He’s the best receiver because you can’t – who are you going to line up one-on-one with him?” Baker said. “You name it, he’s shown up and did it. And with what quarterback? Put any quarterback with him, they’re going to love Tyreek Hill.”

When he was healthy, Tua Tagovailoa was the main quarterback throwing the ball to Hill, and it helped him have the best season of his young career in the 2022 campaign.

The third-year quarterback threw for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 13 games this season. He led the NFL in yards gained per pass attempt and yards gained per pass completion.

Baker explained how great it was to see Tagovailoa take the criticism and questions he received before the 2022 season head on and not let it impact him from having success in his third NFL season.

“I was just so happy for him, because it was like, after all that’s been said, you still doing your thing,” Baker said of Tagovailoa. “I truly appreciate that.”

The Dolphins finished the 2022 season with a 9-8 record, and they made the playoffs despite Tagovailoa missing the final two games of the season due to a concussion.

The team is hoping to build on that going forward, especially since Hill and Tagovailoa will have another season of chemistry together on offense.

The Dolphins are also hoping that Tagovailoa can recover from the two concussions he suffered last season to remain healthy going forward in his career.

As long as Hill is in Miami, the Dolphins are going to have one of the league’s more explosive offenses, and Baker seems to enjoy having both players as teammates at this point in his career.
