Tyreek Hill send message to Buffalo Bills defenders ahead of wild card clash: ‘Warm up those hamstrings’

Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill issued a warning to the Buffalo Bills defense following the Dolphins’ win over the New York Jets in Week 18.

Miami’s win and the New England Patriots’ loss to Buffalo allowed the Dolphins to clinch a playoff spot in the AFC. They will play the Bills in the first round of the playoffs next weekend.

“Whoever face us, I think it’s Buffalo,” he said. “You know guys, guys better warm up those hamstrings.”.

Hill made just two catches for 23 yards in Week 18 against the New York Jets, but he was dominant in the first 16 games of the Dolphins’ 2022 season.

The star wideout, who was acquired this past offseason in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, entered Week 18 with 117 catches for 1,687 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He also added another touchdown rushing the ball in Week 17 against the Patriots.

Hill is widely regarded as the fastest receiver in the NFL, so even though he claimed his warning was because it would be cold in Buffalo, he may be implying that defenders are going to struggle to keep up with him.

The Dolphins’ quarterback situation may determine how effective Hill is in the first round of the playoffs, as the team is hoping either Teddy Bridgewater or Tua Tagovailoa will be able to play in the game.

The team had to rely on rookie seventh-round pick Skylar Thompson in Week 18 against the Jets. Tagovailoa, who is dealing with his second confirmed concussion of the 2022 season, still has a status that is up in the air for the game.

Bridgewater injured his throwing hand in Week 17 against the Patriots, which could make it tough for him to play next week.

Hill played well in the last matchup between the Bills and Dolphins in Buffalo. He caught nine passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in that game, although the Dolphins ended up losing by three points.

Miami won the first meeting between the two teams this season, but Hill caught just two passes for 33 yards in that contest.

Hill has experienced the playoffs before during his time with the Chiefs, and he’s even won a Super Bowl. The Dolphins are surely hoping that experience will help him lead the offense in the playoffs against Buffalo.
