Miami Dolphins list 7 players as inactive for matchup vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Miami Dolphins will face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and be a bit undermanned on offense. Miami recently released its list of inactives prior to the Week 13 contest.

The notable absences are starting tackles Austin Jackson and Terron Armstead.

Jackson was the first scratch of the two, being ruled out on Friday due to an ankle injury. The 2020 first-round pick has played in just two games this season.

On the other hand, Armstead was listed as doubtful Friday, and the Dolphins were likely hoping that he could suit up and provide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with some needed protection against a formidable San Francisco defense.

Unfortunately, his pectoral injury will keep him out against the Niners. He has played in 10 games this season so far.

Without the two players, the Dolphins will call on Greg Little and Brandon Shell to step up. It is unclear as to who will start at left and right tackle. Fans are hoping that the coaching staff will make the right decision in order to ensure that the correct player is covering Tagovailoa’s blind side.

Shell is the more experienced player, as he has been in the league since 2016. The Dolphins will surely lean on him in a big way on Sunday.

As for Little, he was a second-round pick in the 2019 draft by the Carolina Panthers. He was sent to Miami in the 2021 offseason in exchange for a seventh-round selection in the 2022 draft.

Other absences for the Dolphins on Sunday include running back Myles Gaskin, wide receiver Erik Ezukanma, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, cornerback Noah Igbinoghene and tight end Hunter Long.
