Myles Garrett strongly compliments Miami Dolphins strategy in Week 10 matchup: ‘They were a step ahead’

Cleveland Browns superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett explained that he was impressed with how detailed the Miami Dolphins’ game plan was in Week 10.

The Dolphins dominated the Browns in Week 10, scoring 39 points on their way to their seventh win of the 2022 season. The Dolphins defense held the Browns to just 17 points in the game.

Garrett said that Miami knew how the Browns would adjust and exploited them in every way in Week 10.

“The way they attacked us was very detailed in what they were trying to do,” he said. “Just had us out of position a lot of the time. It just seemed like when we tried to switch things up, they were a step ahead.”

This is about as good of a compliment that Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and his staff could get for their preparation in Week 10. The Dolphins moved to first place in the AFC East with the win, and it’s clear that McDaniel and company did their homework on Cleveland.

The Dolphins have been humming on offense all season long, but Week 10 may have been their best performance to date.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 25 of his 32 pass attempts for 285 yards and three touchdowns, finding Alec Ingold, Trent Sherfield and Tyreek Hill for scores. The Dolphins also put together a strong game on the ground in the win.

Jeff Wilson Jr. has been terrific since coming to Miami in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers, as he ran for 119 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in Week 10. His counterpart, Raheem Mostert, chipped in 65 yards and a score on his eight carries.

Garrett is one of the best defensive players in the NFL, but the Dolphins seemed unfazed by his presence in the win.

McDaniel is having a terrific first season as the team’s head coach, and he has to be a candidate to win the league’s Coach of the Year award.

If the Dolphins can keep their lead in the AFC East and win the division, it would be a major accomplishment since the Buffalo Bills were widely expected to dominate the division and the AFC this season.

The Dolphins are on the bye in Week 11, but they will return to action at home in Week 12 against the Houston Texans.

Houston is one of the worst teams in the league, so the Dolphins should have a good chance to get to 8-3 on the season in that matchup.
