Miami Dolphins youngster Tua Tagovailoa has taken a major leap this season, and one has to imagine that Tyreek Hill has done a lot for the quarterback’s confidence.

Hill has essentially defended Tagovailoa since the day the receiver was traded to the Dolphins, and he isn’t showing any signs of stopping.

Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson recently expressed some skepticism when it comes to Tagovailoa, and Hill quickly fired back on Twitter.

Tagovailoa has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the entire league this season, and if he keeps playing at his current level, it’s going to be hard for folks to continue doubting him.

Of course, he does need to prove that his success this season is sustainable, but he has done almost everything right so far in the 2022 campaign.

The 24-year-old has completed 71.0 percent of his passes for 2,265 yards, 18 touchdowns and just three interceptions in eight games this season. The Dolphins are 7-1 when he starts, and they’re 7-0 when he plays from start to finish.

In addition, Tagovailoa leads the league in various key categories, including yards gained per pass attempt (9.1), yards gained per pass completion (12.9) and quarterback rating (118.4).

Hill has been a very valuable piece for Tagovailoa and the Dolphins, as he leads the league in receptions (81) and receiving yards (1,148).

Miami is rolling once again, as the team is on a four-game win streak. The squad opened its season with three straight wins before losing three in a row. Thanks to the Dolphins’ current hot stretch, they’re in great shape at 7-3.

The squad now gets a week off before playing its final seven games of the regular season. Miami currently leads the AFC East and is looking to claim the division title for the first time since the 2008 season.

In the meantime, the Dolphins will focus on getting themselves in a good place mentally and physically this week before battling the Houston Texans in Week 12.

That game against the Texans will be Miami’s last home game until Christmas, as the Dolphins have a three-game road trip scheduled from Week 13 through Week 15.
