Jevon Holland crowns Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle as ‘most dynamic’ 1-2 punch he’s ever seen

When the Miami Dolphins traded for veteran receiver Tyreek Hill earlier this year, the hope was that the newcomer would form an elite duo with youngster Jaylen Waddle.

That’s exactly what has happened.

As a result, the Dolphins have had one of the most electric offenses in football this season, and the team is 6-3.

Dolphins safety Jevon Holland recently spoke about the duo and had nothing but good things to say.

“Those guys are the most dynamic one-two punch that I’ve seen,” Holland said. “Their speed alone is — you can only describe it as different or surreal. Seeing it in live speed, it fascinates me day in and day out.”

Hill has made a major impact in his first season with the Dolphins. He leads the league in receptions (76), receiving yards (1,104) and receiving yards per game (122.7). He also has three touchdowns.

Waddle, meanwhile, has taken a fabulous leap in his second season at the NFL level. He’s on pace to pass tons of his statistics from his rookie season. The 23-year-old has 47 receptions for 812 yards and six touchdowns.

Of course, a lot of the credit goes to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has done an outstanding job of getting the ball to his star receivers.

It has become very clear this season just how important Tagovailoa is to Miami’s success. The team has gone 6-0 in games he’s started and finished (of course, he was knocked out of Miami’s Week 4 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals).

There’s still a long way to go this season, but the Dolphins have a very real chance to earn their first playoff bid since the 2016 campaign. Miami has one game remaining before its bye week, and it’s a home matchup against the Cleveland Browns this weekend.

The Dolphins will enter their bye week four games over .500 if they take care of business against Cleveland.

On the other side of the bye, Miami will have to deal with several teams that are .500 or better, but if Tagovailoa can keep getting the ball to Hill and Waddle, the Dolphins are going to be a hard team to slow down.
