Jaylen Waddle issues ringing endorsement about playing alongside Tyreek Hill on Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle revealed what he’s gained from playing alongside Tyreek Hill in the Dolphins offense.

Hill, who was acquired by the Dolphins in the offseason for a plethora of draft capital, has already made a major impact on the team. The Dolphins are 2-0 this season, and Hill’s monster fourth quarter against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 led the team to a comeback win.

Hill caught two long touchdowns from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in that game, showing just how dynamic he can be in the open field.

Hill had an amazing game, but Waddle was just as impressive in the win. The second-year receiver is showing that he is also a dynamic weapon, and he explained that Hill has helped him improve his game.

“Just having a guy like that playing alongside him, you’ve just got to up your game,” Waddle said. “Seeing him go out there and make plays. How he approaches the game. You have no choice but to improve.”

This season, Waddle already has 15 catches for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Hill has been terrific as well, catching 19 passes for 284 yards and two scores.

With two top options in the passing game, the Dolphins have looked like one of the best offenses in the NFL through the first two weeks. Waddle believes part of it is because teams have to respect Hill’s speed, leaving more opportunities for the rest of the team’s playmakers.

“You have got to respect Cheetah, as dominant as he is,” Waddle said. “Defenses have got to respect him. He opens up a lot, not just for me, but for other guys, tight ends, running game. You always have to be accountable for a guy like that.”

There’s no doubt that Hill’s presence had made Miami better, and he helped quarterback Tua Tagovailoa win the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week award in Week 2.

Waddle, a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has the potential to be one of the game’s best receivers after he was solid in his rookie season. Now, with Hill in the fold, Waddle is looking to learn from one of the league’s best to create an unstoppable receiver duo in Miami.
