Miami Dolphins safety Brandon Jones shows off amazing pair of customized cleats

The Miami Dolphins are still just a little bit over a week away from beginning their 2022 NFL regular season, but safety Brandon Jones seems ready to run onto the field already.

In a recent social media post, Jones showed off some incredible personalized cleats that feature lyrics from Drake and Lil Baby’s 2021 song “Wants and Needs.”

Over the last few seasons, customized cleats have become a regular appearance in the NFL. Star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. played a large role in popularizing the trend, and a lot of players have since hopped on the bandwagon.

Heading into next Sunday’s game versus the New England Patriots, Jones is projected to be one of Miami’s starting safeties. He’s entering his third NFL season, and he started 13 of the 15 games he suited up for last season.

Last season, he finished with 79 combined tackles, including six tackles for loss. He added two fumble recoveries as well as one pass defended, one forced fumble, one interception and five sacks.

To start off the season, Jones is going to have to step up his game if he wants to make sure that the Dolphins pass defense remains one of the team’s strong suits. That’s because star cornerback Byron Jones is set to miss at least the first four games of the season after he was placed on the reserve/PUP list.

Now, it will be up to the likes of Jones, Jevon Holland and Xavien Howard to lead the unit and make sure that opposing quarterbacks don’t complete many passes.

That’s going to be a hard goal to achieve in the first month of the season. After facing the Patriots, the Dolphins will face the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals in consecutive weeks.

As NFL fans know, the Ravens, Bills and Bengals have some of the most talented quarterbacks in the league. If the Dolphins want to capture some wins in that first portion of the season, they’re going to have to make sure that their defense and offense are sharp and effective.
