The Miami Dolphins are in the middle of preparing for their first preseason game, which is set to take place on Aug. 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That hasn’t stopped players from showing love to fans. Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa already shouted out fans for bringing energy to training camp.

Star defensive back Xavien Howard recently shared a pretty special moment with some young fans.

It’s always great to see professional athletes signing autographs for young fans. Oftentimes, children dream about getting a chance to meet their sports heroes and have them sign something.

The kids in the video were definitely excited to meet Howard, who is set to enter his seventh regular season with the Dolphins.

Howard has spent his entire professional career in Miami after getting drafted by the Dolphins with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

During his time in the league, the Baylor University product has established himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro.

Last season, Howard played in 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 50 combined tackles, 16 passes defended, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

He is one of the leaders on Miami’s roster and a key reason why the team’s defense has been so strong over the past couple of seasons.

With a new head coach in Mike McDaniel and players like Tyreek Hill and Terron Armstead now in the fold, the Dolphins are hoping to have a special 2022 season.
