Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made news earlier this week when a video surfaced of him calling out his critics for questioning his ability to make deep throws.
The video became very popular and was seen by countless people across various social media platforms. One person who caught wind of the video was Denver Broncos superstar quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson’s response to the video was pretty hilarious. He didn’t react to the words that Tagovailoa had for his critics. Instead, he reacted to the Dolphins quarterback’s haircut.
There is no doubt that the two players do look somewhat similar thanks to their haircuts.
The two have similarities aside from their haircuts as well. Both are smaller passers. Wilson is 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds, while Tagovailoa is 6-foot-1 and 217 pounds.
Without a doubt, Dolphins fans would be over the moon if Tagovailoa started to resemble Wilson on the football field. Wilson has been a superstar since the very start of his NFL career. He’s a nine-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champ.
As for Tagovailoa, he’s yet to really prove that he can be a long-term starter in the league. While he has shown glimpses of brilliance, he hasn’t been able to put together a full season of dominance in the NFL.
This offseason, the Dolphins spent a lot of time and energy improving the level of talent around Tagovailoa on the offensive side of the ball. The 2022 season certainly poses a great opportunity for Tagovailoa to really take that leap to the next level.
