Blake Ferguson’s victorious reaction to change in COVID-19 policy after berating Joe Biden on social media
- Updated: April 19, 2022

On Monday, it was announced that the mask mandate for travelers previously issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is no longer in effect following a federal judge’s ruling.
As with all other decisions made regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the news was met with incredibly mixed reactions. Some people celebrated the abandonment of masks on airplanes while others felt that it’s a dangerous move to make, as the pandemic is still ongoing.
One person who celebrated the move was Miami Dolphins long snapper Blake Ferguson. Ferguson recently made waves by berating President Joe Biden on social media regarding the mandate.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the NFL in recent seasons. There was drama surrounding some star players’ vaccination statuses, and many players, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, were forced to miss time due to the league’s protocols.
That won’t be the case in the upcoming 2022 NFL season, however. Back in March, it was announced that the NFL and NFL Players Association had agreed to suspend all COVID-19 protocols.
Without a doubt, America is in new territory when it comes to the pandemic. Some are loudly clamoring for the remaining restrictions to be removed while others fear of another wave infecting thousands. In the end, it is hard to know what will come of the pandemic going forward.
In the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see if the removal of the mask mandate for travelers will lead to any kind of big spike in infections across the country.
