Report: Former Dolphins RB Mark Walton accused of pointing a gun at a man and demanding his Rolex watch

While the NFL offseason is in full swing, Miami Dolphins fans got some unfortunate news on Wednesday morning.

Former Dolphins running back Mark Walton is being accused of pointing a gun at a man and demanding his Rolex watch.

Walton became a household name in South Florida as a star at the University of Miami.

He had a brilliant sophomore season with the Hurricanes, finishing the 2016 season with 209 carries for 1,117 yards and 14 touchdowns. He added 27 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown through the air as well.

In 2018, he entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals.

He only lasted one year with the Bengals, however, and he signed with the Dolphins prior to the 2019 regular season.

With the Dolphins, he played in just seven games, starting four of those contests. He recorded 53 rushes for 201 yards and zero touchdowns in those games. Walton has not played in the NFL since the 2019 season, and it seems like he won’t be signing with a team anytime soon.

Unfortunately, this latest incident is the first time that Walton has had a run in with the law. His record also includes arrests for marijuana possession, misdemeanor battery, having a concealed firearm, resisting an officer without violence and reckless driving.

He was also accused of attacking a pregnant woman on another occasion as well.

It is always sad to see a player with potential get in his own way by having issues with the law. Hopefully, Walton is able to grow from this and improve as a person.
