Miami Dolphins players react to franchise acquiring superstar WR Tyreek Hill

The Miami Dolphins made a massive splash on Wednesday, as they traded for superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs.

To complete the deal, the Dolphins parted ways with a large number of draft picks. The Dolphins are also giving the six-time Pro Bowler a four-year, $120 million extension with $72.2 million guaranteed.

Shortly after news of the deal broke, a number of current Dolphins players began taking to social media to express their excitement over the move.

It’s clear that Dolphins players are very hyped about the deal. The acquisition of Hill increases expectations for a team that hasn’t made it to the postseason since the 2016 season despite two straight winning seasons.

Last season, Hill caught 111 passes for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns. Since being selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the 28-year-old has established himself as one of the league’s best receivers.

Miami’s deal for Hill is exactly the kind of blockbuster move that Dolphins fans had been waiting for. It is a move that ultimately changes the makeup of the team, and it gives Tua Tagovailoa one of the premier weapons in the entire league.

The Mike McDaniel era in Miami is getting off to an extremely hot start. Without a doubt, he will look to continue on with the organization’s current momentum as the 2022 NFL Draft gets closer and closer.

At this point, anything less than a playoff run for the Dolphins during the 2022 season will likely be considered a major disappointment.
