Chad Johnson pleads for Bobby Wagner to join the Miami Dolphins with a hilarious recruiting pitch
- Updated: March 11, 2022
Former NFL receiver Chad Johnson wants former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner to join the Miami Dolphins.
Johnson offered up a hilarious recruiting pitch to the former second-round pick on Twitter on Friday.
Bobby come to the Dolphins, i have a few rental properties, you can stay for free, McDonald’s on me as well during football season, thoughts❓ https://t.co/z9PMsdseN4

Wagner, who was recently released by the Seahawks, said on Friday that the team wasn’t even the one to inform him that he was being let go.
Last season, Wagner played in 16 games for the Seahawks, making 170 combined tackles, one sack, three tackles for a loss and one interception.
The eight-time Pro Bowler is one of the best linebackers in football, even though he is already 31 years old. In his 10-year career, Wagner has amassed 1,383 combined tackles, 11 interceptions and 23.5 sacks.
He helped the Seahawks win a Super Bowl in the 2013 season during his time in Seattle, and he’s made over 130 combined tackles in six straight seasons.
Wagner would certainly be a great fit for a Miami team that is looking to upgrade its defense ahead of the 2022 season. The Dolphins reportedly are “very interested” in the veteran linebacker, and he’d make a ton of sense for a team that is looking to get over the hump and into the playoffs in the 2022 campaign.
Last season, the Dolphins finished with a 9-8 record, but it wasn’t enough to make the playoffs. It was the second straight season in which the Dolphins had a winning record, but they fell short of the postseason in both instances.
It will be interesting to see if Wagner bites at Johnson’s tempting offer and ends up joining the Dolphins this offseason.
